The temple tour of South India is all about understanding and experiencing the most exemplary architecture style incorporated by the rulers who lived centuries ago. Day 1. Chennai Arrival
After your arrival at Chennai, you will be escorted to the pre-booked hotel and a half day sightseeing can be scheduled depending upon the arrival time of the flight.
The half-day sightseeing permits tour of famous temples like Kapleshwar temple, Parthasarathy and Marundeshwara Temple. Overnight stay in Chennai.
Day 2. Chennai-Kanchipuram-Mahabalipuram
You will embark on your journey towards Mahabalipuram where on your way visit the famous temples of Kanchipuram like Varatharaja temple, Ekambareshwar Temple, and Kailashnath Temple.
Later in the day after touring the silk stores for experiencing the world famous Kanchipuram Silk Fabric you will get transferred to the hotel at Mahabalipuram followed by overnight stay.
Day 3 Mahabalipuram Sightseeing
Mahabalipuram is the most beautiful place in South India that has the heritage as well as scenic beauty scattered everywhere. The Temple complex visit will be escorted by the experienced tour guide who will give you the brief account of the glorious past of these monuments.
After a tour of the local market come back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4 Pondicherry Transfer
The temple tour will become more beautiful after arrival at Pondicherry which was earlier in the late 18th century was dominated by French colony that can be seen in its local infrastructure in deep interiors and monument like Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is must watch the place. Other than this Raj Niwas, Manakula Temple, Aurobindo Ashram are major tourist attractions that will be covered in the day tour.
Day 5 Chidambaram Transfer
Today you will be transferred to the most magnificent and important place from point of view of dedicated temple tour. Temples like Nageshwara, Kumbeshawara, Sarangapani and Brahma temple are worth including in day tour with the experienced tour guide. Come back to the hotel for the overnight stay after enjoying the famous local food preparation.
Day 6 Velankanni Transfer and Sightseeing
This is place away from the chaos of the city where peaceful surrounding and panoramic ambiance is charming. Stay comfortable at your hotel and spend the rest of the day as per your leisure.
Day 7 Tanjore Transfer and Sightseeing
Today get transferred to another beautiful city of temple tour touring en route the Tanjore City. Famously the city is termed as The Rice Bowl of India being one of the major producers of rice in South India region. Culturally rich Tanjavur has magnificent places to visit and to name few of them are Thanjavur Royal Palace, Airawateshwara temple dedicated to the white elephant posses by Lord Shiva and Brahdeeshwara Temple. Discover this scenic town in your day tour and come back to the hotel for overnight.
Day 8 Trichy Transfer and Sightseeing
After breakfast get ready to hit another beautiful destination Trichy (Trichirapalli) for touring more beautiful temples like Rockford, Rangnathswamy, Jambukeshwara, and Erumbeeshwarar. After temple sightseeing, visit the nearby areas and the local market. Stay overnight at the pre-booked hotel.
Day 9 Madurai Arrival
The flaunting beauty of Madurai dates back to some 2500 years ago when Dravidian rulers gave immensely beautiful structures like Meenaakshi Amman Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, Koodal Azhagar Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Naykkar Mahal are the major tourist attraction.
Stay overnight in the pre-booked hotel.
Day 10 Madurai Sightseeing & Rameshwaram Transfer
After covering major tourist spots of Madurai, get transferred to Rameshwaram. After freshen up get ready for the day tour for Ramanath Swamy temple which is an evitable part of Char Dham pilgrimage was constructed by Pandya Kings in 12th-century Agnitheertham and Dhanushkodi for a memorable evening with a pristine view of setting sun view.
Day 11 Kanyakumari Arrival & Sightseeing
You will be transferred to Kanyakumari where a guided tour will cover Kanyakumari Temple, Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Padmanabhapuram palace which is a massive fort with a museum of various antique items belonging to the royal family lived. Rest of the day will be at your discretion.
Day 12 Trivandrum transfer and Departure
Get transferred to Trivandrum by road to board your scheduled flight.
